One of the most difficult transitions a young teenager must go through...adulthood. Put aside all the awkward teen angst, the music, the phases, the different stages of interest and culture. The one aspect that seems to ultimately mold a teen youth into a young adult, is "love". Or atleast, what we perceive love to be.
No matter what color your skin, what religion your brought up in, what kind of lifestyle you were born into...something we all share in common, (or most of us) is this concept of what "Love" is and how its meant to be. Since babies we are shown videos and imagery of wedding ceremonies...honeymoons, family life...the picket fence, etc. So its extremely difficult to break out of this illusion once you were psychologically programmed for the first 18 years of your life to believe in it.
Now, the relationship between two people isn't meant to stay the same...there will always be ups and downs...highlights and pitfalls...but through this all, a relationship will stand true as long both lovers involved have trust and faith in eachother...
You see, TRUST and FAITH are basically siblings to WISDOM...and through WISDOM comes these gifts. When you have only experienced a certain esteem for yourself ; only have learned so much about who you truly : Wisdom is still waiting to be achieved. Because only through Experience can you attain this Wisdom...alas, we have "Teenage Love".
Teenage Love is a funny thing, because when your younger...(atleast for me) : Anything i wanted to believe that was real, was real. And it was to the point that you would go to extreme lengths to remain involved in whatever you believed in...including harming yourself and others around you, clinging on to a dying relationship, and using pity to replace a grounded concept of when empathy should be offered or not. These are all poisonous traits that stem from trying to "hold" onto something thats not yours, and never will be.
So take the IDEA of a Wedding...you know, the one you were essentially manipulated into believing : and destroy it. That was the primary concept of the "Wedding Massacre" song. It wasn't to diss anyones idea of "love" or a "wedding", more so to tear a wall down of confusion...to allow one's self to see this marvelous emotion through different eyes and not limit what can become of it.
The aftermath of losing your first love is very bitter...painful, confusing. It seems like the primary teenager lover will go through several personalities until they ultimately discover themselves...simply by ending the search. The beauty in this all, is that the TRUTH was always there since the beginning. And when you discover it...you realize that you do love yourself more than you would ever have to love anyone else, and its actually not a bad thing.
Once you learn how to love yourself...that concept you were raised to believe in becomes a distant memory. You can now laugh it off as part of growing up...that tough love that just kicks you in the ass until you get the point. Not everyone is strong enough to grow progressively after their first love...but for the ones who do, they usually end up figuring out that their is no such thing as a soul mate. And what's beautiful most about that, is the ability to LOVE someone without that constant cloud of unknowing doubt following their head because they once used to mystify the concept so much that it seemed unreal. The Love is natural, and always has been, and always will be. Its your choice to either accept it, or fail at trying to change it.

It started at the bottom of this tall, narrow mountain...it was in the middle of a large rocky field, the scene was smiler to a Lord Of The Rings clip (no surprise, since Led Zeppelin was playing while i was asleep). Clouds in the sky, cold, windy, abandoned...so I felt this sensation, as if something was chasing. I looked back and saw nothing but the field.
Here is an image of what the mountain looked like...
So I started running up the mountain...it had really small steps going around the mountain in a spiral formation. As I was running upwards I heard the "Gallows Pole" song being played lightly in the background...and about three times, what seemed like the Ghost of my sister kept appearing next to the Ghost of a little girl (4 years old). Like, right off the mountain edge, floating. And it didn't look like my sister, but her spirit felt like it was.
And she kept telling me "keep going, don't look back Niko". So i followed her instructions and kept running up the stairs. The higher I got, I tried not to look down...because I would then realize how high I was and it would frighten me to shits. So the closer I got i noticed the gray clouds above were getting lower to me...finally I reached the top and a huge door that lead to this small body of land stood in front of me. It reminded me of this dark, large door i've seen before, the knob required me to twist and turn it to unlock and then it let me through.
This is about the size of the church...
I was above the clouds where it was sunny...and there was a small body of land on top of the mountain. There also was a small church, and inside was a few select people I usually see in my dreams...mostly family. It had red carpets, golden walls, a big red door in front that led to a small lobby room and 2 more windows with another door that led to the main church room. I contemplated entering but became more interested in where exactly I was. Inside the main lobby was a statue of a large life-size crucifix with a stone-sculpture of Jesus Christ. I then headed outside and felt the warm sun on me...and I woke up.
Im not sure if the dream is symbolic in anyway...I will figure out soon enough. But I do know one thing...
Led Zeppelin music gives you some pretty gnarly dreams.

I love hip hop. I make music with hip hop influence to it...i appreciate any kind of sound and feel like anything is possible with music. Raised in PA, spent some time in New York and Jersey, started out listening to 2pac, Souls of Mischief, DMX, Outkast, Xzibit, Eminem, then moved on to other genres like classic rock and jazz. I originally was raised listening to freestyle music so i cant help but love music with energy. I appreciate any bit of knowledge i can learn from more experienced cats in the game, especially DJ's or producers. Im not perfect, never claim to be, im aware of every mistake ive made and am constantly adjusting them as much as i can. I just want to make music people never expected to hear, a new sound. And its clear that there will always be friends and enemies, but in the end, trust only yourself. Respect and love to anyone following their dream, you get what you give, so be legit about it. Peace!
